Im a pharmacist. I know pharmaceuticals and medications. Car repair? Nope. When my 2010 Subaru with 175,000 miles started making noises, I searched on the internet for auto repair shops. GNB AUTO repair had amazing reviews. I called them and asked for an appointment. Freddy asked me more questions than my physician. I was so used to hearing , “yeah bring it in. Bye”. After scheduling an appointment for the next am,within 5 minutes I had received confirmation, my car listed in detail, and specifics about the appointment. After dropping the car off, I got another email and phone call from Ryan listing everything wrong with my car (including photos ) that they found. Because of weather, they couldn’t figure out what was making the noise, and we rescheduled. . We were guessing something with the suspension. Everything they discovered, however, was truly broken. Nothing was added on to pad the bill. Ryan gave me a very fair price to replace parts of the suspension, but he said he wasn’t sure it would solve the issue. That’s real honesty! My car is so old , I decided to trade it in. I asked Ryan how much for the time he put in. Answer : No charge! Unbelievable! I finally found an honest, competent and nice shop. Every 5 star review was well earned. GNB, when my new car needs service, I’ll be back. Thanks guys!

This auto repair and maintenance shop is a great place, like a family owned business, located on a main road (Astoria Blvd) near a public bus (in case you need to leave your car there) and within walking distance to my home. The staff are friendly, kind and competent. All the work I have had done here over the past several years has been reliable, reasonably priced and efficiently completed. They are always clear about what needs to be taken care of right away and what can wait. I trust them and recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest reliable mechanic.

A++ I’m from New Hampshire, and my steering wheel froze, luckily on a side street. Being out of town and not having a place to stay, I worried about the service I would find by picking a random garage. I was towed into GNB Auto Repair at 10ish, they had a full schedule booked for the day, but said they would try to get it done. They talked to another client who didn’t need their car that day and squeezed me in. They answered my questions and didn’t get defensive when I talked to my mechanic back home. They recommended a good Diner down the street, and my car was fixed by 4, and I was on my way. They were friendly, explained the problem so I understood it, offered a written estimate that was a fair price, and got the work done. A++

Absolutely the best shop. The guys are all amazing, professional, courteous, and most importantly, critical thinkers. They know how to schedule your maintenance using a budget that fits the client. They accommodate my schedule. I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about this shop. Over the last few visits they have become more like family and that it is what I truly wanted to feel from the shop I used. 10/10 professionals.

Called for an appointment and got it for the next day. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful and kept us in the loop by text messages every step of the way. Repair was completed the same day, (turned out to be a broken wire) and we are very happy with the result. Highly recommend this company.

Great place ! They are transparent with the work they do including sending you photos of their findings and explaining the importance of each service and costs/timeline. The staff are friendly and always ready to answer any questions you have.

I recently brought my Honda Fit in for an oil change, and the team did an excellent job from start to finish. Not only was the oil change quick and reasonably priced, but they also took the time to look over the entire car and let me know about a few minor things to keep an eye on—without any pressure to buy extra services. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, honest, and professional. The shop felt well-run and efficient, and I appreciated the clear communication about what they were doing and why. It’s great to find an auto repair shop that’s both trustworthy and thorough. I’ll definitely be coming back for future maintenance and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service.

These guys are the absolute best. I don't know why I ever bothered taking my cars anywhere else. They are friendly, honest, straightforward, and always take the time to walk me through each issue, option, and repair. They provide excellent communication and updates throughout the repairs, and I love that they send links to the report showing photos, results, and order or urgency for each job, and they always provide a clear expectation and fair pricing. I recently bought a used car that had a ton of issues, and really appreciated their thoroughness and honesty, and the vehicle runs great now. Even when I mention any rattling or odd noises I hear while driving, they take their time to diagnose my concerns and are always able to find the cause and fix it. So glad to have mechanics like this in my neighborhood. They always do excellent work, and they even follow up to make sure you are satisfied. I've been to many garages around Queens and this place is the most trust-worthy, transparent, and professional, I definitely recommend them.

Got my 2008 Honda Odyssey Starter Replaced with a premium starter at a affordable price- 17yr old car with almost nonexistent genuine parts in the market isn’t exactly cheap compared to newer cars but this shop made it happen at a reasonable price. Will be doing more upgrades in the future, just to keep the car in the family & as a treasure piece to show others that “any car will last forever ♾️ *hopefully* if you give it proper maintenance & money 🤣 It’s like having a wife, but my car doesn’t nag when I wanna take it for a joy ride.
